Meet the Agent: Amanda Elswick

Meet Amanda Elswick, a Realtor who brings creativity, persistence, humor, and a whole lot of heart to helping her clients find their way home.

Amanda made the move into real estate after becoming a mom and deciding it was time for a career change. Before becoming a Realtor, she worked as a social worker, a background that naturally complements what she loves most about real estate: helping people.

Now eight years into her real estate career, Amanda says it’s officially the longest job she’s ever had, and she still loves seeing the excitement that comes when her clients find a home they love.

Finding Her Place at Nest

When Amanda was looking for a brokerage, Nest stood out because it felt like family.

“I love that Nest felt like a family and everyone was willing to help each other so you can have a balance with family and work.”

That collaborative environment was important to Amanda, both as an agent and as a mom. It also fits perfectly with the way she approaches her own clients: with support, patience, and a willingness to help however she can.

Making Real Estate Feel Less Overwhelming

Amanda especially enjoys working with first-time buyers and sellers, as well as clients who may simply need a refresher on the process.

She believes education is a huge part of being a great agent. Her advice for first-time home buyers is simple: Ask all the questions and get prepared before you start looking.

Amanda also isn't one to give up when a transaction gets complicated.

“I love thinking creatively, and I don’t give up easily. I will find a way to get things done!”

Her goal is to make buying or selling a home feel a little less intimidating and a lot more human. As Amanda puts it, she’s a “Realtor, house enthusiast, professional overthinker, and firm believer that buying a home should involve equal parts good advice and dad jokes.”

When She’s Not Talking About Houses...

Amanda has plenty of interests outside of real estate. She loves reading historical fiction, practicing yoga, going to concerts, cross stitching, embroidery, and giving her dogs the best life possible.

She’s also pretty proud of the plants she bought during COVID, which are somehow still thriving six years later.

A few more things to know about Amanda? Fall is her favorite season, Labyrinth is her favorite movie, she loves opossums, and she has 30 tattoos, with plans for more.

Her bucket list currently includes seeing a concert at Red Rocks and traveling to Scotland. And if she could have dinner with anyone, she’d choose David Bowie because she’d love the chance to hear all about his life.

As for her favorite place to travel? Pretty much anywhere. Amanda is always up for an adventure.

And while some people debate whether they’d rather cook at home or dine out, Amanda has identified the real problem: deciding what to eat. Her dream would be to hire someone whose sole responsibility is making that decision for her. Not cooking it. Just deciding. Think of all the brain power she could get back.

Whether she’s helping a client navigate their first home purchase, brainstorming a creative solution to a tricky transaction, keeping a six-year-old houseplant alive, or heading to her next concert, Amanda brings plenty of personality to everything she does.

And we think that makes her a pretty perfect fit for Nest.
